Stanisław Eleszkiewicz's work represents a horse accompanied by its trainer in a riding school. The composition adopts a horizontal format, in a relatively tight framing dominated by the presence of the horse accompanied by its trainer who seems to guide it with a lunge line. This framing allows the viewer to be placed at the heart of the action, reinforcing the intensity of the scene's reading. Likewise, the represented space remains deliberately undefined, leaving more room for the sensation of movement and the expressiveness of the scene and the artist's style than for a realistic description of the setting.

The gray horse imposes itself through its mass and dynamics, notably with the movement of its raised right foreleg. The trainer also accompanies this movement with a tense posture that translates the effort of holding this horse. The bright colors of his clothing contrast with the cooler tones of the horse's coat.

The background remains deliberately fragmented and synthetic, constructed by a succession of lines, geometric shapes, and flat areas of color that evoke a performance space without defining it precisely. The red elements visible in the upper right part may evoke certain accessories or structures related to the circus world, without however constituting a descriptive representation of the place.

The chromatic palette of the composition consists of a play of fairly expressive contrasts with cool tones like gray and blue against warmer tones, notably with reds and oranges in certain elements of the background. Finally, light emerges from the colors and participates in the dynamics of the scene.
